If you use Outlook then yes, otherwise rat status will have to wait until I've got OE support stable and working well enough Wink

Well there's been a development folks ..... I've been working on adding OE support without having to complicate it by having it read the DBX file's, then go through the individual DBX file's to get the actual e-mails, and it's not gone very well - on this system atleast (OE6 but has Outlook 2003 installed), the code I wrote works but alas, it still tries loading Outlook instead of OE (and obviously fails because the code for OE doesn't work for Outlook, and vice versa).

I've not got two options, and I've partially decided to go for both;

1. Go the complicated route of parsing the DBX file's (means I'll need to familiarise myself with the DBX file format specification)

2. Drop the importing of existing e-mails in OE, and have it work by-proxy to import new e-mails (basically the same way K9 works)

As an aside, if anyone's bothered to try the latest version of OE (my app not Microsoft's, hehe), you may notice the Export function, along with the viewing option, is a little slower than previously - I've tracked down the cause and am hoping to have it sped up considerably for the release I'm working on.

Thanks for the update Steve Very Happy

So when you say by proxy, do you mean it will catch incoming mail on the line and not already in the inbox prior to having Outlook Export running? Or do you mean any new emails not opened?

Cheers,

Paul

Several more changes and a few bug fixes (e.g. when exporting)

I've also enabled scanning using fSpamList.com (Tools > Scan e-mail addresses)

This release corrects an issue with the senders e-mail address duplicating ...... resulting in the subject being in the date column, and the date being missing
