Is there a possibility for B Gone to work with Windows 7 and IE 8, and possibly Firefox? I know it's a long shot, but I thought it's worth asking.

Thanks,

Cha

Apologies for taking so long to see this.

B Gone was originally written for the 9x platform, then patched for the new releases of Windows, as and when needed. However, Windows 7 doesn't work the same way as previous releases, so it's highly unlikely it will work (feel free to try it and report back however).

It should however, work fine with IE8. Firefox and Opera (and now Chrome), have never been supported. There were plans for a complete re-write of the program, so it supported all internet programs (browsers, IM's, e-mail clients, IRC clients, etc etc), but I never had time for this, so never got round to it.

Unfortunately, I've not had time to do the re-write yet, so the only thing I can suggest is to try running it in compatibility mode (right click the B Gone shortcut > Properties > Compatibility).

You could also try modifying the storage paths in the .ini file. The defaults are based on the 9x/XP platform;

Code:
[Storage]
Lists=C:\WINDOWS\
MWP=C:\WINDOWS\
Logs={PATH_TO}\B Gone\Logs\
