Not visited this link before and checked it out :) Nice to have one more resource to check site against BUT what struck me was this "1,734,582 Websites dissected since 01/06/2005"!

Is the vUrl site still maintained? I ask as in the pulldown menu "Use my own user agent" it appears rather out of date listing upto Firefox 5!

It's still maintained, yes. vURL was moved to vurldissect.co.uk though.

"use my own user agent" just pulls the user agent from the client/visitor UA, so whatever appears there, will be used.
