Well I've figured out one thing anyway .......the problem with the PM's is only on the proSilver style - they seem to work fine on subSilver (which is even more confusing)

Fired off a PM to my mate Drrae on the ABF forums to see if he can help (PM's work on his board with the same style)

So what is not working right with the PM's in the proSilver style?

Ok looking at my PM in the proSilver style I opened it and it looks ok but I see done of the buttons work above the message box, the smilies do not work either and clicking on them make the page change so that your at the very top of the page. Then the preview, submit and save done do anything either.

But hey I still like the looks. Wink

Well, I've had a reply and it looks like a conflict with the version of phpBB I'm using, and the style itself, so I've two choices;

1. Update the forum to the latest CVS
2. Wait until the next beta or RC

Think I'll be going with the latter of the two unfortunately .....

I am not doing much PM'ing here so I see no rush. If someone really needs to say something to me they can post or PM me at another forum.

Now can I still get a PM from someone but I just can't reply unless I go back to the skin.

I didn't see your post above .... sorry for not responding to it yet.

As you've guessed, the problem is with the styles reliance on Javascript .... I'm still working on resolving it Smile

To be honest, I'm not quite sure .... I've sent and received them from the subSilver style, but haven't tested if receiving them works on this one ...

That is ok because I have not been here so your reply was here when I got back so who cares when you posted. Razz
I came here and was back with the subSilver style again but when I went to see my setting I see you added a proSilver modified version so guess that made it change back to the subSilver style.

So you saying the proSilver modified version is not working right either?

I changed "proSilver" to "proSilver_Modified", and re-imported the original proSilver style to double check it wasn't one of my modifications that borked it and unfortunately it doesn't seem to have been.

Whats curious however, is that the original proSilver seems to have the mod's I made, even though the files themselves, don't Confused

I see we are back to just the one skin again.

I sure hope you can find the troubles and make use of the newer skin so we can have it back.
