 Post subject: New Member Very Confused

Hi. I'm a new member here. I am interested in learning more about using Host files as a tool. I see this forum is new (and I like the phpBB 3.0 -- good job!). But ... to be honest maybe this isn't the type of forum I'm seeking. I think I'm lost, and found my way way here after bouncing about 10 or 15 different links.

Any way, here at the HPHOSTS Forum, I find it difficult to navigate. There really is no obvious starting place. Such as Introduce Yourself, or New Members Start Here by reading this and this and this. I'm just providing some feedback, but maybe I'm not even supposed to be in this Forum. Is it a public forum, or did someone start this as a personal project?

The reason why I came here is because I would like to learn to use HOSTS files, and share that with others. I have a wide customer base, who I believe really could benefit from the use of HOST files for many things.

So, where do I go to learn about this technique? Help is appreciated. Thanks.

Tom,
Welcome to hpHosts first of all Smile

I've not thought to create such a forum, but will sort one out asap ..... in the meantime, you may want to start here;

Thanks Steve. The information you've provided in the link is extremely useful. I'll be studying it, and probably have a billion or so question thereafter.

Thanks.

By the way, do you need someone with extra PC's to test some spyware/virus? Let me know, I have an entire Shop full of them. But I'll need some instruction as to what I'm looking for.
