Hopefully this is the right sub-forum to post this question. I'm wondering what the reason is that foxitsoftware.com is included. I've read this page, but I still don't know why: http://hosts-file.net/?s=foxitsoftware.com. I've used Foxit Reader for years without any problems, that's why I'm a little surprised. Can someone fill me in?

I've moved this to a more approriate forum for you.

The reason it's included, is due to the rubbish it bundles with the installer, and the fact it's pre-ticked. Worse still, when I last tested it's installer, the toolbar was installed irrespective of whether you told it not to or not.

Thanks for your response!

I installed Reader so long ago, I really don't remember much about the installer. I can't find a Foxit toolbar anywhere on my system though.

EDIT: I see this was moved to Outbox. I'm not really requesting the Foxit domain be removed, as I'm not familiar with it's risks.

No problem.

I'll get the latest one checked and remove it if appropriate :) (and thank you for bringing it up :))

The new installer is bundled with the Ask Toolbar, FYI.
